Group Financial Manager

Location: Woodstock, Cape Town
Salary: R800k – R1m per annum

About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate would contribute at an executive management level and be responsible for the overall management of the financial department.

CA (SA) essential with articles from a Big 4 preferred
4+ years financial management experience
5+ years post articles experience
Detailed knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
Financial modelling at entity and product level
Knowledge of statutory requirements
Highly advanced excel skills
Ability to work in a structured manner with big data
Able to work independently and in a team
Must be flexible with an open mind to find solutions and overcome challenges
Trustworthy, reliable, responsible, deadline driven
Good people skills for team management
Accuracy and detail-oriented approach
Ability to function in a high-performance environment

Financial management duties including preparing budgets, tracking of departmental and organisational budget, preparing cash flow statements and preparing financial management reports
Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self management
Review of payments to creditors
Ability to perform debtors and creditors reconciliation
Review and assistance with Parent and Subsidiary financial reporting monthly
Overview of all tax (VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, Dividend’s tax) submissions for Group
Consolidation and preparation of Group monthly reporting
Management of audit for Group
Modelling of new products / ventures within the Group
Pricing analysis and ad hoc financial analysis as required by the CFO
Bi-annual budget preparation
Debt covenant forecasting
Financial system development and improvement
Oversight of financial processes / Internal controls and improvement where possible
Financial reporting and support when required
Analyse data for reasonability and trends using information from a variety of sources to make value added recommendations
Develop and analyse information to assess the current and future financial status of the company and communicate to the senior management team
Communicate with stakeholders at a senior level in the organization up to Executive Level, with respect to their financial performance and delivery on their strategic objectives
Salary review and sign off
Management of group company finance teams
Ensure that all financial statutory requirements of the organization are met and prepare all
supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Audit Committee and the external auditors
Liaise closely with stakeholders to ensure their requirements are understood and met from a
Finance and Operations perspective
