About the Role:
Opportunity available for a QA Engineer with 2+ years relevant experience to perform type testing and support Production/Help Desk with firmware/hardware related operational issues.
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Information and Communications Systems or similar
Networking experience with a similar qualification (e.g. CCNA) preferable.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in software and/or hardware testing.
Experience in the QA field (writing scripts, tools, performance/load tests, bug finding / reporting / metrics etc.
Knowledge of testing procedures.
Experience working on technical projects involving interaction with internal and external development teams, product managers, stakeholders.
Must possess a high level of attention to detail.
Strong logical analytical skills, methodical approach.
Excellent communication skills in English - verbally and written
Ability to work under pressure, accurately and independently
Flexible – able to work overtime when required
Strong problem solving and multi-tasking ability
Develop qualification and test plans for subcategories of firmware/hardware of new products, detailed signed off test plans for each.
Ensure all deliverables have solid detailed documentation and specifications.
Take responsibility for all conformance test specifications and ensure that testing/product qualification is performed against those specifications.
Provide Production and Help Desk support e.g. firmware upgrades, instructions and training. Troubleshooting firmware related issues and training Help Desk consultants to do more advanced troubleshooting.
Assist business development/sales with special projects as required.
Provide direct client support on functional software, hardware operation and network solutions.
Assist colleagues in the investigation of software, networking and system related problems on existing products/solutions.
