Advertising Sales Executive – Radio Media Advertising Sales

Location: Green Point, Cape Town
Salary: Negotiable / Basic plus benefits plus commission

Purpose of the Role:
To develop and maintain relationships and promote profitable business whilst projecting a positive image of the client in the direct market.

Matric and relevant Tertiary Qualification advantageous
Radio/ media advertising sales experience
Own vehicle and valid Driving Licence
Knowledge of marketing and selling techniques
Experience and track record of penetrating small business market
Proficient experience in sales support and promotions is essential
Target driven
A thorough understanding of the direct
High energy with strong networking abilities and experience

Maximise sales for your own portfolio
Meet own monthly sales targets
Weekly prospecting and ensure conversion to sales
Sells available advertising time according to the Sales Policy to ensure that income requirements are met and value contributions to clients are ensured and measured
Promote long term relationships with new and existing clients
Achieve the agreed upon weekly call rate
Product Development and Campaign Management:
Prepare and documents written proposals and/or presentations used during the sales process
Prepare accurate airtime schedules
Ensure all booking documentation is completed
Source, facilitate and traffic on air elements
Prepare completed briefing documents to all stakeholders/ departments
Track and monitor campaigns from start to finish
Apply Training and Development
Continuously ensure that subject matter knowledge obtained through training is being implemented to improve effectiveness & efficiency
Conduct relevant pre call research and planning
Manage Data/ Information
Ensures briefs to marketing/ programming and production are completed timeously and correctly
Provide the Sales Manager with an activity report meetings, sales and pipelines business
Uses and interprets media surveys and other marketing tools essential to the sales function
Implement and follow work flow processes and procedures
Execute Admin Functions
Cash in advance on all new business that hasn’t a credit application approved by Finance
Keep an active file on every account on your list
Airs all business with a signed contract and confirmations
Check contracts and figures to ensure that the accurate amounts have been booked correctly
Consistently update CRM System
