About the Role:
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing all the financial actions of the business. Responsible for tracking cash flow, analyzing strengths/weaknesses in company’s finances and overseeing all aspects of its financial success. Provides effective professional leadership, and ensures the establishment and implementation of sound financial management, accounting, procurement, provisioning and internal control systems and processes, for the department, in compliance with relevant legislative requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred. Relevant qualification in Financial Management
Registered Chartered Accountant (South Africa) NQF 8 essential
10 Years’ experience in Financial Management, including 6 years in a Senior Manager role within a Financial Division.
Manufacturing sector experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall leadership, direction and development of all staff within the finance team
Maintain a professional environment that sets the example for the business by living the company values every day
Provide strategic input and advice to the CEO and Board on the formulation of budgets and forecasts
Oversee the budget preparation process, provide advice and support to stakeholders, and review the budget proposal prior to submission to the relevant authority
Monitor the financial performance of the Company against budgets and targets and ensure that the budget funds the strategy
Ensure the implementation of audit recommendations to minimize financial and business risks
Ensure the design, implementation and maintenance of a sound system of control to safeguard company assets
Lead expenditure management and the provision of Asset Management
Manage and ensure the publishing of the annual financial statements for use by shareholders and other stakeholders.
Identifies and implements cost and asset utilization improvement opportunities,
Manage engagements with assurance providers (for example, risk and audit), including, responding to matters raised
Monitor financial performance indicators, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
Establish and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
Provide integral support and advice to the CEO of the Company on all strategic initiatives, M&A activity as well as any other material business matters
