Executive – Safety Standards and Assurance (Aviation)
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Salary: R2.5m – R2.9m per annum
About the Role:
Opportunity available for a dynamic and experienced Executive to join a Safety Standards and Assurance Group with a strong safety and regulatory background to provide strategic support to the Director and the Board through the implementation of Safety Standards & Assurance.
Requirements:
Pilot License (APTL) or CPL plus aviation training
10+ years senior management experience
10+ years aviation safety operations experience
Responsibilities:
Strategic Alignment: Manage and ensure the development of the overall Safety Standards & Assurance strategy and management philosophy
Financial Management: Compile and manage the Safety Standards & Assurance budget annually for approval by Exco and the Board
People Management: Manage and ensure the implementation of Safety Standards & Assurance development interventions aimed at institutionalising a high-performance culture
Policy Development: Lead and manage regulatory reviews
Operational Management: Ensure effective oversight of Safety & Assurance Standards to industry stakeholders
