Market Development Manager

Location: Germiston, Johannesburg
Salary: R720k per annum plus company car, mobile, laptop, provident

About the Role:
The Market Development Manager will report to the Head of Marketing and will be responsible for the development, expansion, and maintenance of the company’s markets in the retail and design space with a view to preserving the company’s existing market share and the expansion and development of that market share across all brands and regions.

Requirements:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Marketing/Sales/Public Relations advantageous
5+ years’ experience within Marketing/PR/Sales Management
Experience within the Home Décor / Home Finishes industry advantageous not essential
Strong people management experience
Solid relationship building experience with both employees and client base
Build strong team spirit and provide motivational leadership
Strong business acumen and meeting financial goals of the business
Customer centric with experience in Public Relations and Customer Experience

Responsibilities:
Management of all Sales/Account Managers/ Consultants around the country.
Monthly checking of Consultants and Representatives credit card recons.
Equipping and training of all the above.
The management of the Warranty program including public relations responses, technical support, and training elements.
Oversight and management of the Technical Manager.
Managing the Leads Protector.
Preparing and distributing regional monthly reports regarding these activities to branch managers and brand consultants.
The management and oversight of the company’s involvement in all trade shows including DECOREX.
In consultation with the Head of Marketing to conceptualize and oversee the design, costing, building, functioning and operation of the company’s branded show stands.
Manage the Marketing stock and the marketing materials controller.
Manage the planning and ordering of all marketing materials used by the company.
Manage the kitchen and interior designer development and incentive programs.
Manage the assessment, authorization and budget control of branded display slabs for showrooms.
Manage the relationship between the brand and The Kitchen Specialists Association.
Management of the budgetary elements of the areas under his/her management.
