Sales Executive

Location: Sandton, Johannesburg
Salary: R300k – R360k basic plus commission

About the Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Executive builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. The role entails the planning, development, organization and management of all aspects of business development including sales and marketing within the region of Johannesburg, South Africa. The role is target driven, and the Sales Executive will be accountable for achieving his/her target, set out.

Requirements:
3 - 5 years’ sales experience within Media/Advertising
Matric and Relevant Tertiary Qualification advantageous
Proficiency in CRM, Excel, Presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to maintain a high level of productivity with solid time management skills
Ability to quickly build rapport and develop long-term relationships with customers
Ability to uncover a customer’s full set of needs and understand their business
Highly driven, competitive, and honest
Strong performance against sales goals, objectives, and target

Responsibilities:
Network with potential new clients, customers, television distribution channels and corporate entities.
Develop and deliver sales presentations for potential clients regarding the company’s activities and market trends.
Maintain up-to-date information on company activities and market trends.
Make regular sales calls to potential clients and follow up on leads.
Prepare quotations and contracts as required.
Maintain all related documentation including quotations, pricing and configurations.
Manage client accounts and ensure that all client services are provided in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide client servicing updates to management and team on a regular basis.
Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure collection of receivables.
Liaise with the marketing function to ensure that marketing efforts are in line with the requirements of clients.
Submit weekly and quarterly reports on sales and marketing to line managers.
Assist with participation at events and conferences in.
Manage the implementation of policies and strategies related to business development in South Africa.
Keep abreast of the latest events and business news in the region.
