About the Role:
Opportunity available for a Digital Content Writer for a Ghanaian English TV Channel. The successful candidate will be tasked with preparing content for online platforms set in a fast-paced and dynamic television environment.

Fluent in English
Professional content writing or publishing experience in English
Needs to be familiar with Ghana’s television or entertainment culture
Candidate should be able to speak, write and publish fluently, with professional publishing experience, in English. They should be able to localise content with Ghanaian context.
Stable internet connection for remote publishing
Television broadcast environment experience advantageous
Experienced with website and social media platforms content creation and publishing in a professional capacity (i.e. on Websites, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc.)
Content management systems experience (website publishing)
Strong knowledge of cross-platform digital trends and technology
Image editing software (online or on Photoshop) advantageous
Familiar with website content management, publishing to sites via CMS
Experience publishing on website and social media platforms (i.e. Websites, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram),

Write engaging copy demonstrating the ability to translate broadcast events into news and feature articles
Write various content types such as website copy, articles, headlines, image captions, video abstracts etc.
Maintain and create original content for website and online platforms
Upload, publish and promote content on the online and social platforms
Researching, interviewing and sourcing information and news stories
Create weekly and monthly content publishing schedules
Working with video team on content for online and social platforms, required to support shoots / online events where necessary
Coordinating and sourcing content from various stakeholders
Reporting and analysis of stats and trends, to include in channel feedback reports
Keep up to date with the latest social media trends and practices
Enhancing online and social media strategies and implementation
Cross-platform publishing with various CMS’s
Management of social communities including social engagement
Working with paid media agencies on suggested promoted content
