About the Role:
A leading supplier of Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS) across the African continent is currently recruiting for a Head of Department: Application Support Specialist to be based at their Head Office in Pretoria, to support their global client base in security, risk and compliance, and solutions.

Requirements:
Grade 12 essential, Tertiary Qualification advantageous
5+ years’ experience in Technical IT Support
3+ years’ experience in a Managerial role within IT Support
CiiMS Knowledge and Practical Experience advantageous
Experience in Managing and Coordinating Personnel
Quick learner on software applications.
Excellent Communication and client relations skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Sound decision making and time management skills
Ability to maintain work related records and prepare reports.

Responsibilities:
Provide and coordinate software application support on the respective products.
Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggest improvements in configuration and utilisation.
Coordinate, oversee and perform tests on all version releases on the front-end and back-end functionality
Consult and collaborate with Application Development, IT & Technical, Internal users, and clients to improve application performance and stability.
Establish the root cause of application errors and problems
Manage and maintain service levels and output expectations for all clients
Coordinate and oversee the 24/7 support team
Keep record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
Effectively manage department personnel, processes, and resources, ensuring the effective use of the appropriate tools and systems.
Represent and report back on the Support Department responsibilities during operational and management meetings.
Support EXCO in its strategic and operational objectives, responsibilities, and mandate.
Promote the brand and values in all activities and functional areas both internally and at the respective clients.
Attend and facilitate department-, portfolio-, personnel-, and company meetings as and when required.
