Sales Associate – B2B
Location: Plettenberg Bay, Garden Route
Salary: R240k per annum
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Business Development Associate to join our wholesale department. The right candidate will play an important role in creating a positive experience for the designers, stockists and hospitality clients who buy our products, as well as drive sales and meet department targets. The role requires a dynamic, creative individual with an interest and experience in the textile and interior design industry. This is a full-time position, working within a close-knit team, with a mutual goal of making a positive impact in the world.
Requirements:
Solid experience in sales
Previous experience within the textile and/or interior design industry advantageous
Excellent customer relationship management skills
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of CRM & accounting packages advantageous
Excellent administrative and communication skills with fluency in English
Strong at multitasking, and a positive and energetic team player
An eye for interior design, with an interest in sustainable production
Driver’s license
Responsibilities:
Identify prospective customers, following leads from existing clients and attending trade shows
Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how specific products and services can meet these needs
Emphasize product features that will meet customers’ needs, and exhibit the capabilities and limitations of their products
Answer customers’ questions about the prices, availability and uses of the products they are selling
Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as information on selling strategies and marketing information
Implement and measure the success of a sales strategy
Assisting clients with site tours
Providing a seamless and professional service to all clients, this includes assisting and liaising between interior designers, hospitality clients and retailers to ensure an appropriate resolution is reached
Communicating with accounts / finance dept on customer balances
Staying up to date on products, product launches and promotions
Work with senior management to improve customer experience, increase sales and drive growth
Perform administrative tasks
