Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role:
The core purpose of the role is to plan, implement and maintain operational activities of applicable contract/s in accordance with company policies, goals and strategic objectives.
Requirements:
Grade 12.
Relevant tertiary qualification in transportation/logistics/Operations management.
Valid Driver’s licence
Able to work overtime/extended hours as required.
4-5 years’ experience in a similar role at management level.
Proven track record of applying business acumen to operational activity.
Knowledge of relevant statutory legislation – NBCRFLI.
ISO & RTMS system and audits knowledge and experience.
Commercial contracting.
Computer literacy and MS Office skills.
Technology and systems skills.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the sales, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
Plan, draft and review Maintenance Schedule for all equipment and tools.
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed in line with the above Maintenance Schedule.
Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory.
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, outbound processes, and shipping.
Weekly monitor stock on hand. Monthly review stock report and resolve or escalate all variances/queries within the warehouse and factory.
